long time friend of the label myler finally makes his south london analogue material debut with ‘lord of the asbo’. the ep starts with driving kicks, hypnotic wandering synths and the noisy dissonant stabs of ‘mandem’ before taking a more melancholy turn. ‘shutter windows’ slows things down with eerie echoes, dusty thudding kick drums and subtle synths before ‘whiskey & white women’ finishes the last of the originals with a drum track full of trippy percussion and masterful groove. bad boy keepsakes is back on the label after slam003 and finishes the ep with his take on ‘shutter windows’.

irish producer myler presents the fatland ep, a collection of two originals and two remixes that marks the fourth release for burgeoning brooklyn imprint fifth wall. the original *blue madams* is a percussive slab of techno that drills away with tribal crunch, while *glad bags* sounds like a wonky take on a 70s horror soundtrack. on the remix front, berlin-based vault series affiliate moerbeck provides a lascivious techno/house hybrid in his take on *blue madams*, while londons metrist seems to channel an eccentric warehouse-dwelling baboon in his remix of the same.
